Pregnancy Yoga
Pregnancy Yoga in Horfield and Redland, is the perfect class to take some time just for you, to bond with your bump, ease away any niggles or anxiety and then float away for a restful nights sleep.
At the beginning of each class I hold a ‘Hello Circle’ which allows me to tailor the class to meet your needs; easing away any pregnancy ailments, stress or anxiety.
It creates a safe space to make friends with other Mamas-to-be, to share how you’re feeling, to feel seen and to hear and support others experiences – this hello circle is a very important part of the class that helps to build your support network!
Each class ends with a 15/20 minute Yoga Nidra practice, a guided relaxation that is extremely beneficial for pregnancy (and postpartum!).
I absolutely love to weave in antenatal information throughout each class to help you to prepare for birth; you’ll learn the LushTums unique approach on how to breathe, move and relax to birth. The more you can practice, the more you will be able to automatically draw on what you’ve learnt during birth to help you to stay calm and relaxed.
Suitable from 15 weeks if you are new to yoga, right up to when your baby comes. If you already practice yoga or exercise regularly, you can start classes with us earlier, just let us know.
We also have a friendly WhatsApp group to keep in touch outside of class.

Hi Kate, I just wanted to message to say such an enormous thank you for all your classes! You completely changed how I felt about my pregnancy in the sense that I stopped thinking about it medically and worrying about what might go wrong and just started to enjoy it! For me working in obstetrics, to just embrace being low risk was such an amazing feeling and I feel proud that I had a totally midwife led pregnancy without looking for excuses for for unnecessary intervention. Will see you for some Mum & Baby Yoga soon i’m sure! X

Kate has been brilliant all the way through my pregnancy. Helping and supporting with any pain in hips, IT band etc. This has helped with sleep and keeping more flexible and fit during pregnancy. Kate is very knowledgeable about birth and can help you have a positive view on any birth you have planned. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable but also very lovely and friendly. Also, she connected me with Liz who helped with physio. If you need a weekly pick me up or just some me time, this is the place for you! Highly recommend.

I joined Kate’s pregnancy yoga class when I was about 16 weeks pregnant.
The format tends to be: Kate talking through a pregnancy, birth or postnatal topic, a ‘hello circle’, yoga followed by yoga nidra (a kind of guided meditation).
Attending regularly has meant I already feel very well informed about my options and preferences around pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period either from Kate’s talks or from books / resources she’s recommended in class. I’m a lot more confident and informed going into midwife appointments and antenatal classes are more of a ‘refresher’ of topics I’ve already heard about rather than learning about them for the first time.
The yoga is gentle and very relaxing. She takes into account any aches and pains of attendees and always gives alternative poses if you struggle with something. After the yoga nidra I always have an amazing night’s sleep too which is brilliant when sleep is irregular in the third trimester!
The hello circle gives you a great opportunity to get to know other ladies due around the same time as you too!
I’d highly recommend Bloom Yoga and look forward to doing mum and baby yoga with Kate too.
Thank you, Kate!
