Welcome! This is the first step to take in your postnatal recovery, connecting with your breath.
Being able to breathe optimally is beneficial for our mental and physical breathing. It soothes the nervous system to encourage rest & digest, bringing a sense of calm into the body and mind, it releases tension within the tummy and it strengthens the pelvic floor and deep core.
It can be tricky to get the hang of it, so keep trying and it’s perfect to practice when holding or feeling your baby.
This breathing technique forms the basis of all movement and the next videos will bring in some pelvic floor exercises working with the breath.
