The psoas can be thought of as your flight/fight/freeze muscle and can contract in response to perceived threats or trauma.
It’s the psoas that can become tight and shortened due to deep-held fears, stress and stuck emotions.
If they’re tight this can have an effect on optimal menstrual health.
Attached to the bottom of the diaphragm, deep diaphragmatic breathing and stimulation of the parasympathetic nervous system can have a direct effect on the liberation of the psoas so I really hope you enjoy this class!!
